Jaipur, the pink city

Okay, the flight from goa, stop for a few hours at mumbai airport, so we have some time to roam around this fancy-looking airport. ( of all airport i went, i decided dat i like this airport the most :p)

after the pit stop, flight reach jaipur around late evening, and i just to discover that my swiss knife doesnt fly together with me, it was left in mumbai!! oh my gawd!
but the spice jet staff was very nice to have it delivered to my hotel on the next day. I really appreciate that, tho it was done only after my continuous pushing and pondering on their customer service.

Back on the road.. haha, we decide to take the day tour organise by indian tourism office, which i feel its kinda worth, visit lotsa place for rs200 (rm15?)

Though its in a big group of about 20ppl, the tour guide still patiently explain in hindi and english, but i owaz get so into taking pictures and din listen properly lol

Jaipur is called the pink city of india.
why?
because the city is pink.. LOL.

just realise i din really take a nice photo of jaipur in pink, but found one which i take randomly from the bus..

Jaipur is named 'the golden triangle of india' together with delhi and agra, its somesort of bandar terancang in the past, the king planned the city and hav asked all the houses to paint their wall pink (more to brick red in my opinion) so dat all the house looks equal and same, the old city is small but vy neat, built inside a square or rectangle.

As my memory power deteriorate over months, i m not sure that i can recall all places we went in jaipur haha
Some of the places that i remember:

* A hindu temple, made of marble of Taj Mahal. For once in a life time, a white color hindu temple! lol

* Hawa Mahal, we just take a pit stop and snap photo from outside.. =.="

* Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO world heritage, this place kinda amazed me by all kinds of intellectual monument,it was build by the king of jaipur which is very intelligent, they use all the instruments to calculate the horoscope and birthdate of a baby and match-making as well.. somesort of like our 生辰八日..

* Tiger Fort, i remember we took quite a long journey up, and it was VERY HOT! Took a lot of crazy photo here, and we had lunch here, look at the food and really feel tak lalu makan, i had enuf of north india food! i miss manipal food badly~~

This is the window, where the queen can look down as she cant move out from the palace, she will 目送 the king frm this window when the king go outstation :S

crowded jaipur, the city is so packed with people

c how close the house is!

* Amber Fort, only me n kl paid rs150 for the entrance, as others was kinda tired aft the long day and they dun feel like paying for the entrance anymore..
But, i feel it does worth for the price with the delicately carved interior and all kinds of invention they can thk of to make their life as a king as comfortable and luxury as they can.

We stayed in Athiti guest house, room is spacious, but its kinda stuffy and hot, if i m not mistaken, we paid rs300(rm23) per person for a night stay, but the management and food is poor, but this is kinda cheap compared to other places around in jaipur.

Well, i would say jaipur is a severely polluted city (maybe i haven encounter worse), and after monsoon its particularly hot, rapid dehydration :S , for those who haven see ancient fort in india may wanna come here 1st but after jaipur you will soon feel saturated with fortssss and palacessss..

hmmph, where else we do in jaipur?
i cant really remember, i shud write this nine month ago!! LOL

but thankfully, i hav a whole lot of photos to remind me about places we went and things happens, so dat i can make this travelogue a more complete one :)

this is the typical india you all may wanna c i suppose :P, take this just outside amber fort. :)

well, this is the real india in train station, its kinda normal in india, as train station provide shelter, food, places to sleep, pee or poo, and maybe its the place to earn money by various means.

k, bac to books now! :P
