Sometimes .. kids are these amazing creatures that they drove u crazy with their cries, and one moment later, you feel like they are the cutest things that you have ever seen.
Was clerking this 1.2 year old boy that I need to present a long case to my lecturer. But he was refusing my touch n examination. Cried at the top of his lung n shook his head and hand, guess he know the white lab coat ppl are gonna make him pain :p so I kind of give up and jz do whatever I can to salvage my presentation later, quite sure gonna get a bash for not examining the patient. They are not gonna understand and anyway, we are gonna hav tonnes of patient like this in hospital later, so I have no excuse at all for that.
He was actually a cute child with charming eyes. Later on, me n him and his mother sits together on the couch while I asked some questions to his mother. He crawled towards me, after noting sth interesting in my labcoat pocket. He picked up a ruler from my pocket, while I was writing on my paper. Then I looked up and almost laugh out loud. This boy .. after looking a while on the ruler, raise up the ruler over his head and comb his hair ! LOL moment after the frustrations.. haha then he took my pen my paper n even stethoscope .. to imitate us students.. such a funny child at his tender age of 1..
Guess that's this kind of little things that make me enjoys paediatric posting :) even though there's one scary lecturer in this department who has severe mood swing :S
